A gorgeous valley at the confluence of the Indus and Shigar rivers, the Chunda Valley is located at an elevation of 2,500 meters or 8,202 feet above sea level. Despite the ease of access from Skardu, transportation there in a 4×4 vehicle is recommended due to the condition and inclination of some of the roads.
It was a great time to visit during the Spring because there were apple blossoms, clear blue skies, and snow-capped peaks all around. In addition to cherry trees, this area has an abundance of wildflowers that bloom in March/April. There are some of the most amazing views available from the Chunda Valley.
The scenery in this area of Pakistan is stunning, and it is hard to describe how lovely it is. The adjectives aren’t enough to describe it. This region offers many camping opportunities, as well as food and drink options. Besides Shangrila Lake, you can also see the surrounding mountains.

During the spring blossom season in Gilgit-Baltistan, the Chunda Valley is filled with all kinds of fruit-bearing plants in their brightest colors. Gilgit-Baltistan experiences a spring blossom season beginning in late February and lasting until April. It is best to check the weather beforehand before visiting this surreal valley.
Towards the end of April, the Chunda Valley will experience the last blossoms in the foothills of the Siachen Glacier. Chunda Valley should be on your list of Skardu must-see places.
