Chitta Katha Lake had been on my wish list for many years. The images I had seen of this lake set against rugged mountains, along with stories I had heard about it being one of the most stunning treks, made this hike a top priority for me. For various reasons, this trek had eluded me for years. In the summer of 2022, a friend and I were resolved to undertake the Chitta Katha Lake tour. The only challenge was that the only chance we had was during the holidays of Eid-ul-Adha. We decided to partially forgo Eid and ‘hopefully’ come back by the second day.
