Ratti Gali Lake is 237 kilometers from Islamabad, making it easily accessible. The journey to the lake starts from Dowarian, Neelum Valley, AJ&K, located about 106 kilometers from Muzaffarabad. To reach the base camp of the lake, 4WD jeeps must be hired from Dowarian.
In a jeep, it took almost two hours to reach the base camp. The base camp provides camps and other essentials like food. Ensure you rest well and refuel your body ahead of your challenging hike.
Completing the trek of approximately 16 kilometers from the base camp may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the tourist’s fitness level and pace. During the trek, adventure lovers have stunning views of snow-capped mountain peaks, cascading waterfalls, and vibrant alpine flowers.

Original Pakistani ID Card needed to enter in this Valley. There are many check post on the way to confirm the nationality of travellers. Foreigners are not allowed to enter in this region due to Line of Control with Indian Territory.
Many hotels are available in the main attractions of Azad Kashmir—mostly huts or wooden hotels are available due to the lack of construction facilities. Azad Kashmir is far behind in terms of facilities and hotel categories compared to other tourist destinations. Only a few Hotels are of deluxe levels. Most of the hotels are of standard type. But the people of Azad Kashmir are amiable and helpful in any problematic situation.
Rates may fluctuate with any change in services/hotels. A client shall bear the difference in cost if the package is amended because of an increase in the number of guests or days.
The hotels are subject to their availability. Travelers will be accommodated in a property of a similar standard if they are not available.

This was my second-time experience with Trip Maker. This time there was tension due to the disaster but the company managed everything well and we came home safely. Alhamdulillah. They cooperate with us in such critical conditions and they pay back to us.
