Once you enter this enchanting and vibrant hideout, you will find a lot of thrills and wonderful treks. The beauty of this natural wonder of Pakistan cannot be adequately expressed in words, and words are not enough to capture it.
In addition to the famous Payee Lake, the meadow is home to Makra Peak, Malika Parbat, and Moosa Ka Musalla Peak, providing a picturesque landscape. Lakes are situated at elevations ranging from 9500 feet to approximately 2895 meters, but the mountains surrounding them are higher.
The flora and fauna of the Siri Paye meadows are very diverse, and in various phases throughout the year, many migrating animals and birds also appear there.
The main mammals found in the meadows are marmots, other small rodents, and various varieties of wild and farm sheep. There have been various leopard sightings, but these have not been recurring. It is thought that human expansion has driven away leopards from the area.
There are many birds of prey in the area, including hawks, ospreys, eagles, and vultures. The small birds such as snow pigeons and blue hawks, as well as wood cocks, are also seen. Various varieties of migrating birds come to nest during the summer months.
The flora consists of many hardwood trees, such as deciduous and conifer species that make up the vast forests. Also, there are herbs and bushes used as remedies by the local population during the past centuries. Local wildflowers and shrubs are also present in this area. However, all trekkers must avoid consuming these plants unless they are sure. These plants may be poisonous to eat. So, proper care should be taken while on the trip as it will avoid any problems.
There will be snow on not only the lake, but also on the mountains and the passes at this time of year when there is snow left over from winter. When the snow is on the ground and the lakes and meadows are covered with snow, this is the time to visit. The environment will have some greenery, but it won’t be as lush as it should be.
