Kharmang Valley is home to the Manthoka Waterfall, which is located around 120km from Skardu.
Roads make it easy to access the waterfall. There is a beautiful landscape along the journey, as well as interesting and amazing viewpoints.
Rental tree houses overlooking the waterfall are available for rent. As well as the restaurant, there is a convenience store where many local products are sold. A picnic would also be a good idea.
It is a breathtaking waterfall. There is a wooden bridge that you have to cross to get to it, which is secured with metal cables, meaning that little pieces of it move back and forth, which is a lot of fun.
In this area, there are several opportunities for photographs. Many uneven, steep, and slippery paths lead to the waterfall and further up the waterfall.
I would highly recommend wearing sturdy slip-resistant footwear as you climb the waterfall. As you come closer to the waterfall, you should expect to get wet due to the strong spray generated by the waterfall.
There is a pretty good road leading to Kharmang Valley. A speed of 80 km/h is expected on average, despite bumpy and pitted terrain. Certainly, the route to Kharmang is filled with natural beauty and one is forced to stop at places just to enjoy the serenity.
After crossing the footbridge, you will be able to sit back and enjoy the relaxing view of the waterfall. As water falls from a height of about 100 feet, it burbles around and makes its way across the rocky patches. It is possible to take photographs with waterfalls in the background or even under them.
The resort also has a small Tuck Shop. Resort prices are higher than those found in mainstream Skardu Market.
