From mid-April to the end of September, the climate in the Nagar valley remains pleasant. Nagar Valley is situated close to Gilgit Valley, which is also a well-known valley of our country. It’s a division of Hunza Nagar District. The valley is administratively divided into 2 tehsils, which are named Nagar-1 and Nagar-2. The calculable altitude of the vale is approximately 2,438 m. The main city of the vale is Nagar Khas, which was also the capital of the earlier state of Nagar.
In Nagar, the foremost virtue and attraction for travelers is Gulmet, due to the landscape of the adjacent mountains. The mountains near it include Rakaposhi, at 7,788m, and Diran, with over thirty peaks situated close to the valley.

The Karakoram highway, the highest trade route in the world, passes through the valleys of Nagar and enters Hunza at the spot of Pison, once crossing the “Hunza-Nagar River”. Once you leave Hunza and cross the stream bridge after Ganesha village, a road turning right takes you to Hooper. Before Hooper is Nagar Khas, which was once the center of Nagar. The realm is blessed with fruit trees comprising cherries, apples, and apricots.
The literacy ratio within the vale is over 90 percent for boys and 59 percent for girls. The languages spoken in the valley include Shena and Brushashki. In Nagar, 60 minutes of Burusho people live, and nearly 40 Shina-speaking people live in Nagar vale.
A road from the Nagar Khas Bazar ends in the last village of the north, Hispar, and another leads to Hooper, which hosts glaciers and therefore Rush Lake. There’s no human infrastructure when Hooper. A short after the settlement is a waterfall with water as pure and sweet as honey. The people here are heartwarming and prefer to offer walnuts, apricots, and various delights to tourists.
